Philosophy:

The Elizabeth Forward School District’s Elementary Science Team helps students explore the world around them through hands-on learning and research-based instruction, including the Mystery Science curriculum in the early grades. Our science program is aligned to the STEELS Standards, ensuring students build strong skills in asking questions, thinking carefully, and using evidence to understand scientific ideas. Students learn by working together, trying experiments, observing, and discussing what they discover. In the early grades, they begin building the basic skills that strong science learners need. As they move into middle and high school, they continue with lessons and investigations that deepen their understanding and challenge them to solve more complex problems. This prepares them to be curious thinkers and confident learners.
